This beat is a fight theme in a vivid dream
With imaginary screams from a monster I create
The thoughts I circulate are counterfeit and bogus
No one seems to notice when it gets outta hand
It makes for a tough competition with the lights out
running around blind with a map that I can't understand
The rhythm I dance to is a time bomb tickin'
the pickin's are slim as I recalibrate my vision
What this means I can't make peace
but I push myself hard to perfect techniques of safe release
fractured pieces come together to revitalize
and just like that I know it sounds crazy
a lightswitch flips from nightmare to amazing

This one is about a depression - how its a bad dream - that reality gets distorted and I don't know the good thoughts from the bad ones
It needs to end in a way where I find the light again - and wake up - in a place where the sunshine is warm
